After hearing National Updates from Ian, there are usually some service user and staff presentations about recovery-focused work or initiatives that are going on in services in that region. There’s always time for questions and the presentations by service users are usually the highlight of the meeting!
After the break, we resume in small groups to discuss the topic of the day, which may follow on from one of the presentations. We also discuss CQUINs and other nationally important areas of work, such as the Restricted Items project and other issues that the Clinical Reference Groups might ask us to look at. We’re also always open to suggestions from people and offers of leading the discussions!
There are always Minutes (notes from the meetings) produced and circulated after all the Groups have been held that quarter. These go out to everyone on the mailing list and can be found here.
During each meeting, Ian tells the group about the work of the Steering Group, including all the sub-groups, along with information about the Clinical Reference Groups, NHS England and other national work. We also tell people about any forthcoming national or regional recovery conferences and any other recovery focused work that might interest people. The latest National Updates can be found below:
